Indeed Looks like we gonna stay broke, for now... make sure somebody buys Negotiation with their karma... What do you guys think about my trying out my control thoughts spell? I didn't catch this until after you had done it. I can tell you Satchel will not be happy. Just everyone knows myintentions here, I'm not going to ask for money, I'm just going to send Mr. J a message that we are not cheap help to be played with. I'll make him do something funny like sit indian style on the ground while patting his head. Then end the spell. My thought is if you are going to F@#$ with a Russian guy we know nothing about you might as well try to get some money for it. Doing for just to mess with him does not seem to be a good return on the investment. He might take you making him do something silly worse than trying to get more money. You'll just get to deal with the results. JDragon/ Satchel

OH F*#K! I am so very against you using mind control you wouldn't believe me! I do not think that was a wise move in the least. Abschalten, I've previously networked the other runners to my living persona. Jade and Satchel have Cybereyes so I've been watching things progress by "watching" through their eyes. One of them has cyberears as well so that would supply audio. My only concern was that the meeting room they have stepped into would be shielded from WiFi, then I would lose the signal to the network and all feeds from the others. So, my question is basically; is that meeting room shielded from WiFi? Because if it's not and I do still have the ability to see what's going on and speak to the team over the radio, I have a lot to say.

Satchel will have a lot to say as well, but he will not say anything during the meeting. Hes professional enough not to call a team member out in front of a Johnson, unless he has to to save his a$$ or another party members. After the meeting on the other hand, may be a diffrent story. AB,
Will Satchel have any idea whats going on when the spell is cast?
I have not done a lot with magic, so I'm not sure how obivious it will be to a mundane like me.
Let me know if I need some kind of check.

Funny you should ask that question, JDragon. As per the rules on page 168 ("Noticing Magic"), you and Jade get to make a Perception Test! I've already asked for it in the main gaming thread.
Hint: I rolled this same Perception Test for the Johnson.
Also, for Kagi: the room is not Wi-Fi inhibited. You are free to broadcast inside. However, you do not get to make a Perception test to see if you can notice the magic being casted because you are getting a digital signal through a technological device. Jade and Satchel can interpret any magical effect just fine since the eyes are tied into their essences and holistic internal systems through the DNI. However, any magical effects (such as a shamanic mask) won't be picked up. Just making something clear before we go forward.

Kagi, I recall you asking somebody for an open channel, so I'm assuming SOMEHOW you have a feed into the room. Jade had linked with him. If the room isn't a dead zone Jade should still have contact with Clu. she has cybereyes and cyber ears. As for the mind control issue... Jade will be VERY unhappy if Fire is just doing it for pure pleasure, fails and pisses off the J. On the other hand if he succeds and is doing it to the betterment of the group she will be fine with it.

Consider this a learning experience. You don't cast spells on the Johnson without his consent, ESPECIALLY not mind control spells, and you MOST ESPECIALLY don't do it on Johnsons that your fixer has already said is "an important person." That said, if you're bowing out, I can definitely work this so that the rest of the players get to have fun.
Are you the rest of you guys still interested, or are you daunted at this turn of events?

I'm not sure what you'd like me to roll to crack the vehicle alarm code. I would guess Electronic warfare + Exploit, but I'm not really sure. Modern car alarms transmit a radio transmitted pass code to the car, so I'm looking to find the right "pass code" a lot like breaking a computer passcode I assume. Up to you Abschelten. If I can get the codes and the alarm turned off I'll just whip up a control sprite or thread "Command" to start the car up and get it going. Not sure what I'm going to do with it really, depends on the others reaction. Just looking to get them to safety asap.

Looks like FT's profile is gone.
Don't delete his character just yet please, we may need it for refrence to hoepfully make it so we get a little cred out of this FUBAR.

Nobody's anything is going to be deleted. I don't have those powers. I'm just a volunteer GM. But as far as I'm concerned, Fire Throat is rigor mortis, habeas corpus. I hope the site owners agree with me on that. Secondly, via the powers of GM Handwave, Clu has all the control he could ever want or need over that vehicle. Consider it a gift to compensate for the way the meet turned out. After you guys make a few more posts dealing with the aftermath of the meet, I'll start the next thread.

Sounds good, thanks.
Satchel may want to take a short tour of FT's place at some point to see what he can find thats worth a little cred.

I'm assuming you meant firethroat is dead, not me. ;D I'm going to assume the same thing goes for the bike as did for the car. I don't think it's possible to remote control a bike without someone riding it, kinda hard to keep it upright at stop lights and such. Not to mention I don't think that would fly well with Lone Star. Satchel, I think your going to have to ride it for now and I'll remote your car to a near-by parking lot. Unless you want to just leave his bike?
