Fresh outta the sprawl looking for a little fun and excitement? Gang-bangers shredded yer turf and you got no place to go? I need a face, 2 sammies, an adept, a mage/or Shammy and a techno for a 4th edition campaign (forget it riggers... you're so 3rd Ed). This is for beginning characters and will be initially based on the major factions of the Western underground, including the Vory, the Yakuza, the Triads, and the Mafia (I heard the UB might still be poking around here or there). Keep your head out of your hind-end and you may find yourself playing against the big boys one day. The six characters involved in this campaign have 350 points to spend on their characters, and standard rules apply (one 6 or 2 5's max on attribute stats- racial modifiers non-withstanding). Also, no more than 3 positive/negative qualities, and they better not be lame... (I get 5 bp for a sensitivity to dolphin saliva) Each character will have each other party member as a level 3 contact (thats 3 for loyalty) The campaign will consist of many runs... I will not exceed 6 runners at any point. Should a member need/wish to leave (or die), New runners will need to wait until the completion of the run to join (or if the party terminates the contract), and I will only permit them to join provided they have spent the necessary BP's to add the face of the campaign as a level 3 contact.
*For all sneaky people... if the party's current ranking with the Triads is at a -3 and you wish to join this campaign with the triads as a lvl 3 contact in hopes of patching things up, expect me to deliver a drek-storm on yer arse...
Rules, rules, rules...
I have one adaptation to the rules I need you to be aware of.
A bullet is a bullet is a bullet. If the initial damage number plus modifiers of the bullet does NOT exceed the armor value plus modifiers of the defenders armor, NO AMOUNT OF SUCCESSES WILL MAKE THAT BULLET PENETRATE IT. For example:
Josh the weaponmaster fires his AK-97 at Mr. Jiggles, the bodyguard. The AK has a damage of 6 an armor penetration of -1, and Mr. Jiggles is wearing an armor jacket (Balistic 8) No matter how many successes Josh rolls, that bullet will ONLY do stun damage (although it is possible to do enough damage in one shot to incapacitate someone) Now... if Josh had APDS (-4) in his AK, Mr. Jiggles effective armor rating is a 4... Now those bullets will pass through his armor like a hot knife through warm butter. You always have the option of calling a shot... But with the Star and EKS around every corner, and big brother watching overhead, whose gonna risk getting seen with APDS?
Note: (All runners for this campaign will start with SIN's... wanna burn them or remove them? Do it on the fly, chummer... oh, ps... don't forget the RFID tags in your arms...)
OK... Albiet I will need to approve all potential runners, I will be working on a first come first serve. These runs will be pretty hasty, so be prepared to need to think quick and move often... and as always, choose your enemies carefully.
