Following the frustratingly slow driving of Ghost, I barely contain myself - hitting the steering wheel several times as he slows for yellow lights... we're never going to get there, I think to myself. Turning on some Jazz to calm my nerves, I start thinking about what we might want to ask the parents. I say over the Commlink to everyone:
Been thinking of some questions to ask the parents after the pleasantries and condolences... I'm thinking we want to 1. Confirm Mr. Js identity with the parents first of all. 2. Ask about what they did before the moved here, why they moved here and how the travel went. 3. What they do for the corp they work for. 4. Have them walk through since there arrival to after the abduction what they were doing and people they may have met. If there was anybody that may have took special notice of their arrival etc. 5. Ask about personal toys or items belonging to the girl for ghost and me to analyze as well as give to the girl when we find her. Of course explaining the reasons behind it is to help find her. How’s that sound to everyone? Any other ideas?

Before everyone drives off: "Alright, I'll watch your backs, then. Just sounded like you had who you needed along." David then goes for his bike and heads to the girl's house by a different route.

Ghost takes the last puff of his smoke getting some of the filter in the drag and puts it out in the ash tray.
Over the comm link. "Those are all great questions to me I'm really intrested in the second one where they where and why they left where they where at. I'm thinking if I notice them hiding anything I'll give you a nudge in the arm or just come out and ask a fallow up question to see if there is anymore too it. I really don't think they will lie about anything, at worst they will tell half trues keeping info to themselves that they are afraid to tell us for one reason or another. I hope that doesn't happen but who knows.
If you can talk to them that would be great I'm alittle torn up about this happening to a kid. I can't stand when people pray on kids, people like that have no honor what so ever. If you want I can talk but this whole run has already p'ed me off. Kids should never be used like this. When we find who did I want the whole story from the people who took Kalipi if there still able to talk. They better have a dam good story, or I may ventalate there bodys right there."

I think to myself before we leave in response to David's remark: Better watch that David, he sure hasn't placed much trust in anyone. Not benefitting us either...
I say over the commlink as we pull up to the house after circling the block for anything suspicious noting cars and people: Here we are. Lets get this over with. Go ahead Ghost, I'll follow you.

Ghost gets out of his van and walks up to the parents place and rings the door bell.
Ghost talks over the comm link "If there is anything I miss in any of my questions feel free to step in and ask. Well here goes."
Ghost staightens out his clothes to help look more respectable. Hoping this goes smothly, knowing cases like this hardly ever do.

The sounds of locks being disabled (of the electronic, magnetic, and old-fashioned varieties) can be heard through the door, and then it is cracked open. A single eye set within the skull of a dark-skinned man peers out through it, right over the chain which is still fastened, keeping the door from opening any further.
"Yes? May I help you?" He asks in a familiar, accented voice. In the background, the wailing and sobbing of the female can still be heard. The man turns just a moment in order to speak in rapid-fire Hindi towards her, his tone consoling, but touched with his own trepidation. Turning back, he continues, "You are the ones sent to help us?"

Ghost bows then addresses the man "That is right we are here to help you out with this atrocity, We are here to find out some background info to help us get Kalipi back to you safe. I'm terribly sorry such a thing has happened to you. No should have to go through what you and your wife are dealing with." With that said Ghost looks down with sorrow in his eyes.
"Well I guess we should get to it." Ghost gets John Navik to show the family Mr Johnson's piture. "We want to make sure this guy in the photo is the uncle of Kalipi" After he answers Ghost moves on to the second question the one he hopes will help the most. "Ok now we would like to know what you did before you left India, and why you left?" Ghost looks at Kalipi's Dad well asking with sadness and some hope that he can help them in his eys.

David arrives somewhat later and looks around for a good vantage point to watch the house, as John asked. Once he settles on a spot he sits quietly and listens to the conversation over the commlink.

Knodding to David as he arrives, I say over the Comm before we go in to everyone listening in the group: Thanks David, Keep an eye out for Pickles - try to see that he doesn't cause any... trouble would you. We'll try to make this short and sweet. Say, anybody see Joshua - I thought he was with you Ghost?
I look in the van and knock on the window before following Ghost to the door. Shrugging, I keep back a few meters letting Ghost do most of the talking. As Ghost introduces us I nod respectfully with a concerned look as he goes over some of the details, showing the picture of the "Uncle". Shifting into astral perception I assense the Father then the Mother covertly as the conversation continues.

The man opens the door and lets the runners inside. His wife only spares them a moment as she looks up at them with tear-streaked, reddened eyes. Then she is once again folding her face into her hands while clutching a holographic image of Kalipi.
Upon hearing Ghost's question, the man looks down at the image shown to him and he nods. "Yes, that is her uncle, my brother. He brought us from India. We live here, and he pays for us to live here. He is providing a better life for us, you see. We were but poor shudras with no opportunities. Now, we live like him." The man gives Ghost a faint smile, the sadness still evident in his eyes.
John assenses Kalipi's father, and feels out the aura of a man in fine health (save for a very severe headache at the current moment.) He is extremely worried and internally frantic, despite his outer display of some measure of calm, though there is a touch of sudden optimism as the man begins speaking to those sent to deliver his daughter back to him. He is a mundane with no implants, and with lower force than John.
John gathers less information about the woman, probably due to how depressingly sad and miserable the woman's aura comes off as being. She has not eaten in some time, and the constant wailing and negative energy in the room is creating a small background count here. The room is beginning to "taste" sad and terrified, leaving an acrid, semi-metallic bitterness on the tongue that conveys a sense of loss to an astral perceiver. She is likewise uncybered and mundane.
(Any astrally active people will become partially "infected" by the sadness in here.)

After taking in the complexities of the parents auras I barely contain my own sorrow from losing a family member when I was a youth. I manage to maintain my composure though my hands become clenched. A small pain emerges from my hands as I feel the sweat slowly seep into the small wounds from my nails digging in. As I became aware of this I slowly cross my hands behind my back and walk around the room inspecting whatever is present - holo-pix, video feed from the family, heirlooms - whatever is in the room, casually yet methodically as Ghost asks the questions. I glance back at the father as he answers the questions.
(OOC: Looking for anything that may stand out astrally)

Ghost countues to ask the father questions as John looks around. "You said you had no opportunities in Inda, I was woundering what work you did there if any and was there anyone there that were at odds with you there before you left?" Ghost does his best to keep his focus on the father knowing if he takes too much intrest in the mothers sadness right now he could loss his ability to think clear and ask all the questions needed to help the group begin to get Kalipi back safely.

The father folds his hands together and replies calmly (as he is distracted from his sorrow by the line of questioning), "I worked for wealthy merchants doing their laundry, and my wife was a house cleaner. If you know anything about life in India, you know that the varnas of Hinduism divide people up by their role in this life. We were born to be peasants and laborers, my wife and I. The larger corporations often play on this social fragmentation by hiring people out of India who would normally not have the same opportunites in their homeland, in order to have more loyal employees. My brother did this, and though he is only a shudra in India, he is a wealthy man now and not subject to the prejudices and dead ends of our previous life." The man sighs deeply and drops his hands back down before him, then continues. "I cannot think of anybody who would harbor any anger towards us. We spoke softly and did as we were meant to do back home. We just wanted...wanted our little girl to have a better life and opportunities available to her. Excuse me..." He turns away as his eyes begin welling up with tears, and he walks towards a central corridor in the living quarters. He opens a door and walks inside, turning on a light to banish the darkness within. Inside can be seen the decor and belongings of what one could assume to be your typical young girl living in Seattle.

Ghost follows the father to the room and quickly looks inside then again adresses him "I am sorry about all these intrusive questions I don't mean any disrespect. If you can't think of one in India that would want to hurt you I was woundering do you think there is anyone that would be up set with your brother the man that hired us for taking all these people from India to here, Gangs, corps, government or anyone else?"
"Man I hate when people bring inocent kids into there strugles with others, I just hope we find something out today that will give us a path to fallow. The right path too." Ghost thinks to himself as the calming effect of his last smoke begins to wair off.
Over the comm link to John "You may want to astrally precive this room see if you can find any item that has a strong conection to Kalipi I'll try the same"
Ghost begins astral preciving and gets a wave of sorrow and quickly wipes the start of a tear from his eyes then looks around the room.

My mind wanders a bit at the cloud of sorrow, I think to myself: Normal people, normal life - no reason. Why? The same reason as your sister. No reason. Karma? Universe's plan? I choose. It is my life. Why did they allow her to be taken. Chloe, you can hear me can't you? You are watching me now aren't you... No, its impossible. She died when that the bug decided to feast on her being. She died... for nothing. No future. Turn it around and give your self peace, find her and free me - find Kalipi. Now focus.
As the voice that is almost not my own ends the father's voice pierces my thoughts and brings me back to the task at hand. "Spoke softly" he says. It always happens to those.
I follow the father into the room and actively scan the room for any kind of astral signature not belonging to the four of us.
