New to Play by post-Dice roll format

I am coming back into Shadowrun but I have never played by post. What is the format for the dice rolls? I've been reading some of the runs and I don't understand the dice rolls format.

Well in the icons bad in the game rooms, there is a dice icon.

When doing a roll, you just click the icon once for each dice you need rolled, a little thing saying die appears on your post. Then when you hit reply it posts the die roll.

Alot of people will the go back and add an edit with the # of hits that those dice show.

You must also use Firefox as your browser to see the dices, it's a free download, and it work pretty good too.
