Well, the only thing Jad & Satchel had left to do for the evening was to pick up food.
I was hoping to get some sleep.
And we will need some game time to cover the planning portion of things now that we have our data.
I'm good with F-F to the planning stage.
Speaking of....
SO do you two have any ideas on how we want to do this?
It looks like a more low key approach may be better than me walking in and blowing stuff up. :-P Now matter how much I would like to do that.
Few things I was thinking about.... Does he have a specific appointment time?
Do we know how long the "target" will be on the premisses?
Would it be possiblle for one of us to show up picking up the creature a little early for the owner?
Depending on the lay out do we want to try to sneak in the back when its in the kennel area?
Just a few things that have surfaced as I've thought about the run.

I'm for F-F as well... as long as we have all our questions answered and a plan ready.

Cool, go ahead and fast forward in the thread to you guys waking up and stuff. You can wake up at whatever time you think is appropriate, and then go ahead and start roleplaying.

Clu, while your little drone was hanging out in the ventilation system, it got a feed on a few individuals walking in and out of rooms early on in the day, just a couple hours previously. It would appear that some of the "Restricted Access" rooms are sealed via maglocked double doors. The maglock itself is unlocked when some of the individuals approach it and hold out their right hand towards it. The light turns from red to green, there's a click as the lock releases, the doors whoosh open, and then the person enters.

Jade has some skill in Locksmith as well as some knowledge of security systems... can she make some kind of test to determine if she recognizes the system Clu has discovered?
If so what skills, knowledge and/or abilities would apply?

Okay Abschalten I'll try to get all my questions out in one post to save some time.
#1- Have a grafic map or general layout written up for the Pet Factory?
#2- According to My stormcloud drone, Jade, and Satchel's video records is there another building we can climb to, jump to, use a ladder to, or otherwise get to from the Pet Factory rooftop that might provide us a way to get into and/or out of there stealthly? If not is there a side alley we might be able to park the van so as not to be noticed?
#3- According to Miffy's file where will the creature be kept when it's not being worked on? Where is that in relation to the back entrance/roof entrance?
#4- Did the drone happen to shoulder-surf the managers entering their Admin passwords when they logged in in the morning?
#5- I assume we are going to have to get through those maglocked double doors to get to Miffy, so do I have a model name or number mentioned in the security read-out I D/L? If yes I'll just look them up on the manufacturers net site and get the info on them. Can I bypass them with the security access I have at the Pet Factory?
#6- Can I get a list of the the security features we'll be facing if we take the easiest way from the back-door/roof (which ever is easiest) to Miffy's holding area, while avoiding the most likely avenue of people exiting due to a fire alarm?
#7- What kind of internal security guards do they have and what are they armed with? How many and where are they? Any gene-tech modified/paranormal critter security?
#8- Is there an internal security rigger during the day?
#9- What time is Mr. Murray scheduled to drop Miffy off at the Pet Factory?
That should do it.

Is it possible to have several false alarms happen before we go?... maybe this clould cause the athorities to drag thier feet in getting there...
Jade has a R4 maglock passkey... will this hepl at all?

Ab,
While your add it can you cover the following as well.... if we have it?
1. What kinda of saftey systems do they have beyond a fire alarm? Any C02 detection, alerts for checmical spills etc?
2. Does Clu have any info from the personal files on employees, including schedlues and such?
3. Adding to "#9- What time is Mr. Murray scheduled to drop Miffy off at the Pet Factory?" - what time if any is he scheduled to pick her up? Or is it short enough that he will be staying on premisis while they work?
Thats it for now I'll add more if I think of any.

Jade & Clu,
A couple thoughts, I like the distraction plan, but have a few ideas.
The big one is that if we can keep these alarms, what ever kind we use internal, (by hacking the system) then we have drasticly less chance of Star or others showing up.
Also we need to have a plan B so if that doesn't work we are not all going different directions to take care of things.
My main concern about doing other things locally is that it spreads our very small group out even more, and a little bad luck could leave us short for the main part of the job and attract unwanted attention.
Just a few thoughts.

I'm with you on sticking together JD. I figure Clu inserts the sprite to cause Mr. Murray's car to crash while we all sit across the street from the Pet factory when Miffy gets dropped off. My drone tracks Miffy inside the Pet Factory while we all get set on the roof. The Sprite causes the crash some ways off just before noon (the pick-up time I believe) and we trigger the fire alarm and stuff the vent with a smoke grenade. We all enter and make our way to Miffy at top speed. Dose the frankenstein house pet with a 1/4 dose (due to it's size and to be safe) of that Narco poison from the narco squirt. Check with my stormcloud drone overhead and decide if we want to run out with Miffy in a backpack like we're running from the fire, or sneak out through the roof and back to the van. A copule blocks away we change vehicles and drive to a hotel.
Getting the RFID tag is a problem. I'm not sure how we get that, yet.
The above plan gives us two exits and two entrances to choose from. As for a plan B...well if things get rough we can always throw on a couple lab coats and security uniforms, then let ALL the animals out. I was also thinking we might be able to get into another building nearby that way even if Lone Star is on the scene we should be able to slip out unoticed. If needed I should be able to pilot the van from the inside of the Pet Factory and have it "make a run for it" without us and lead off any Star Cops and again we walk away. We could plot some escape routes via the sewer too? But I figure if we can get to a manhole unnoticed we could get to the van or just blend in to the crowd. The stormcloud drone will let us know if Lone Star shows up.
I just don't see us BSing our way into signing Miffy out without them giving Mr. Murray a call to confirm. Keeping the Fire Alarm from being transmitted to the Fire Department is a good idea though. I don't know if it's possible, but it's sure worth a try and might be simplier and more effective then an elaborate distraction.

Well it sounds like we are on the smae page, cause I agree since we have no face the idea of BS'ing the pick up is out.
I think at this point we wait and see how much info AB provides us and then nail down the holes with that and roll with it.
The only thing that may be tough is all of us not gettting noticed making the climb. I got short stubby legs that are made to stay on the ground. :-P

Jade doesn't need to make any rolls, as what she would've seen would be more or less common knowledge in Seattle 2070. What it would appear to be is that the maglock in that particular area is locked and unlocked by way of an implanted RFID. The proximity of the chip to the reader unlocks the maglock and lets the person pass through. (We actually have these at my work -- honest-to-god maglocks. We open them with proximity cards -- non-implanted of course.)
No, because my drawing ability is abyssmal and I suck at teh Photoshop. I don't think you'll need to have architect's prints to navigate this part of the game.
No, the building isn't neighbored by any other buildings. There is a side area and a back area with a loading dock. Jade also found that ladder on the opposite side of the building. As for stealthily parking the van, there is some scant trees and whatnot surrounding PetFactory! on three sides, and they somewhat obscure the building itself from observers. Some of the trees are over on the side near the ladder (which itself is down the wall from some garbage dumpsters.) The lot is paved around the building on all sides as to allow for delivery trucks, garbage trucks, and other vehicles to get around it for whatever reason.
All returning animals that are being prepped for grooming and washing are kept in "Containment Lab." (Containment Lab is so called because they quaratine their animals coming in from the outside from those that have been newly manufactured, as to prevent unexpected pathogens from having adverse effects on their "stock." The creatures are cleaned and sterilized, then groomed there in the laboratory, after which they are held until the owner returns to reclaim them.) Containment Lab is separated from the back entrance by a series of maglocked security doors. However, as happens in these cases, the ventilation system works its way throughout the entire building, with an opening directly into Containment Lab itself. The entrance into Containment Lab is directly above a table with a bunch of microscopes and culture dishes on it.
More to come, working on it...

Maybe it did, and maybe it didn't. If it did, though, then it was while the manager was inputting her authorization via Augmented Reality. Assume nothing. I sure as hell don't. You can approach this however you'd like. I'm not particularly railroady when it comes to people playing the game. However, you have Admin, which is more or less ultra-mega-God clearance. You OWN that system, for what its worth. Back Door: two doorways sealed with air-tight maglocked double doors, set with bullet-resistant, transparent macroglass; the hallway to Containment Lab is covered with pressure-sensitive pads and motion detectors -- However, these are only turned on at night-time. You guys are, apparently, going in during the day. Ventilation System: poorly guarded, with standard motion sensors set inside of them (also turned off at night). The problem with the ventilation system, however, are the protective grates covering the entrances into the system itself, which are bolted into place. There is a side door out of the building, the front door, and the rear exits where people can make a hasty exit. It would seem more than likely that customers would exit out of the front of the building, through the very large and obvious glass doors, which leads out of Containment Lab. Their contract with Knight-Errant is for quick response times and one-to-two guards either on-site or relatively near-by. Officers patrol the inside and do outside perimeter sweeps in their vehicles. No, there are no spiders (security riggers) hooked up to the security system. About noonish. Still working...

Definitely quite possible. More than likely not, as there's no key-card slot for the maglocks. They're opened by the proximity of implanted, authorized RFIDs. Good question! They use gaseous inertants, similar to Halon, to suppress fires. (Water sprinklers damage electronics and equipment.) The inertant creates giddiness, loss of coordination, and a notable "high" while in an area of sufficient concentration, but otherwise short-term exposure to it isn't harmful (to 99.3% of the population.) They don't have any special sensors to detect what type of fire it is. Clu has admin access to the building's main node. Mr. Murray drops Miffy off at noon, leaves, and then usually returns two hours later to retrieve her. I'm sure you will.
